The Hevpo Waterless Odor Seal is an excellent choice if draining the urine from your Thinktank toilet into a tank or greywater system. It prevents odor from coming back up the drain line, into the toilet. It also is an excellent back flow valve, preventing water from coming back into your toilet. (If you are draining into a drain pit, or French drain, you will probably not need this product).

You will also need to purchase these inexpensive items from a plumbing supply or well stocked hardware store:

• Two threaded 1.5″ PVC socket adapters (one male, one female), for the ends of the Hepvo valve.
• One or two 1.5″ to 1″ PVC reducer bushings. The pipe going into the Hepvo from your toilet will be 1″ PVC. So you definitely need a reducer at this end. On the other end of the Hepvo you can use 1.5″ PVC pipe if you wish. In that case the second reducer bushing is not required. If you want to use 1″ PVC, a second reducer bushing is required.
